Arthen: The Man of the East -- Chapter 6

Journey
to Seers of Five
Sammatha cried all night long. She received the letter by crow for her
son. She saw the full blood moon in the
sky. It was time for Squaz to seek out
the Seers of Five. Her son patted her
back to calm her. He glanced at the
angle of the letter to him. He saw a
symbol on it that was branded on him from birth.
It was official for Squaz. He would make the trip to the mountain. His first task for him would be to eliminate
the hunter. He packed three days of
rations for his travels. He wore the
cloak to hide his sword. He would
vengeance his animal friend.
Squaz arrived at the end of the
spiritual barrier. He extended his left
arm and touched it with his palm. There
it opened a spiritual doorway. He didn’t
look back. This would officially start
his journey. He crouched down and hid in
the bushes for the rest of the night. He
would bait the huntsmen by cooking breakfast.
The sunshine was through the lines
of trees. Squaz wore the cloak to blend
in as an older gentleman. The hunter
smelled the boar meat. He thought he
startled the young man. There Squaz
gestured for the hunter to eat breakfast with him. The hunter accepted the young man’s offer. The two exchanged their names.
“Axios was what they called me.”
“Squaz.”
Axios was curious in the direction
of Squaz. He didn’t give away his direct
location of destination. Axios warned
him these woods were bewitched. Before
the two parted ways Squaz gave Axios a blue jewel for a nice gesture. Axios didn’t refuse the kind offer.
The blue jewel was a locator
gemstone. Squaz had one of his own tied
around his neck in a leather strap. He
wasn’t ready to take an unnecessary life.
He needed to gather knowledge on this individual first. His mother taught him everything has a nice
side and an evil side. He dowsed his
fire from breakfast and cleaned the area of his scent with a purification spell
by facing his right palm on the ground.
It dispersed a cleansing form.
Naked to be seen with the eyes.
He came to the base of the
mountain. Something called him from a
faint cry. He removed his hood and
searched slowly for the source. He
thought he dreamed it. Sleep wasn’t his
best friend these days. He closed his
eyes for another second. A vision
appeared with five witches circling a steel pot. Each one spoke in riddles that only they knew
the definition.
Then Squaz opened them with an
exhale. He wondered how he arrived in
front of this Dead Entrance. He examined
the crevices with his fingertips.
Something peculiar felt like he should know this place. Before he entered his eyes caught the brand
mark in the corners.
“Someone died here before my time.”
He entered with cautiously. The spirit weighed Squaz down. It was like someone pressing on his
shoulders. Then a skeleton snickered
with laughter from a far distance. Squaz
peeked over the ledge. Chains hanging
past the entrance passageway tunnel. His
knees trembled in fear. He could hear
agony voices from below him. Then a kind
spirit strolled up to the child. It
placed its arm on his shoulder for prays of the bedevil spirits in these
tunnels.
The chains rattled with tense from
some massive beast down in the fires.
Squaz looked into the eyes of the kind spirit. She fed him with her powers. His eyes glowed with a syringe of a blink
within an eye. He has magically grown
taller now. His physique gained some
muscle mass. His sword glowed from the
subchannel of power. It became a long
dual sword. He could shoot electricity
from his fingertips. His mind was quick
on levitating him above open spaces.
