Arthen: The Man of the East -- Chapter 3

Evolving
Oneself
The orbs dissolved as Jules was
healed. He noticed there was a view looking
up at a golden statue. He would make the
climb to the top. He felt something as
he strolled to the statue. In his pocket
was a uniocular from viewing through it.
This golden statue felt different for some kind. He started climbing up. It took him some time to be careful
climbing. There were three different
suns setting at different levels in the sky.
“What was this place?”
He took out his uniocular for
viewing. In front of him lay an ultimate
power source. Then behind him was
complete darkness. Two different
kingdoms in Istric. He still couldn’t
find a way out of this dimension. There were
no other different kinds of living beings present. He parachuted down from the statue. The light source was east from here, and the
darkness was west.
“Hello! Anyone out there!”
He got no answer. He decided to investigate the abandoned
buildings for some supplies. He found
some rations of food in a store like place, but there was no name on the
building. Inside another building was treated
for injuries and still there were no people.
Jules gathered some bandages and ointments for his travels to the light
source.
He used a compass for his guidance
to the light source. It just displayed
the two directions east and west. His mind
wasn’t on the distractions of the two directions. His curiosity drove his ambitions to wanting
to know about the two in this kingdom. As
he made his way east there were just rock formations and night skies. Another thought was the three suns. He wondered what they meant to this Kingdom
of Istric.
Then he noticed a shrine with a
circle with a crest inside of it. He never
thought of anything by the engravement of the symbol. Behind it was a downward passageway with
steps. Jules didn’t want to waste time
on the distraction. He kept his mind of
the white light from the east. It was
just in the ravine up ahead over the hilltop.
There was an electric noise from
the light source. It was drawing Jules
closer to it. Then he extended his right
arm. He placed his palm against it, but
it was shocking his hand. He shoved it
into the magical light and afterwards something pulled him into the light.
Inside there was a flashing orb a
few yards ahead of him. He examined his
black and white self. He heard a woman’s
voice faintly from the orb. It wanted
him to follow it in this alternate world.
It asked, “why did you sacrifice yourself?”
He knew this statement wasn’t in
the now. He started sprinting after the orb,
but it led him to a lagoon of neon pink liquid.
He didn’t hesitate to think of the outcome of diving into the pink
water.
It twirled him in a semicircle down
a drain. Jules was at the bottom of the
ravine. He stood next to a steep hill. He sat cross-legged for a moment. He breathed and exhaled as he closed his eyes
for a few moments.
He opened his eyes and rose to his
feet. He started the mountain climbing
up the steep hill. There wasn’t a single
star in the sky as Jules glanced up. His
heart wanted to head west into the darkness location. The trip would last for three full days.
There was an impulse from a second
ravine. Jules couldn’t see it with his uniocular
because it blended in with the darkness.
He woke up facing a purple slender woman with black hair. She had neon purple fingernails. She reached her hand out to welcome this visitor. There were no words exchanged during the
greeting.
Jules was interrupted by the Seers
of Five. Each one frightened him from
his dream like state of mind.
“What did you see your majesty?”
Each one wanted a description of
the dream to decode it for him. He explained
it as it was to them. Then the pale
white Seer of Five summoned their crystal ball for the explanation for the High
Ruler.
What they feared for him was the
same a slave would rise to be an Ancient One.
They opened a portal to transport Jules back to his personal chambers.
